2008 Mazda RX-8
Posted on May 03, 2008 under Mazda |Gas mileage isn’t the greatest, but that’s to expected from a sports car. Comfortable seating and holds the road very nicely at high speeds…120MPH +. Would like Mazda to produce a Speed version, perhaps with a super and / or turbo-charger…needs more torque. But overall, definately an eye catching vehicle. Considering the CC (1300) and cubic inch (80) displacement of its Renesis Engine, quite a powerful machine.
Fast enough, handles superb, has a back seat you can use and my golf clubs fit in the trunk! Average 21mpg city/highway with the best of 23mpg after installing an K+N air filter. What more could you ask for?
Love this car. Yes, the gas consumption is a little high, but for a rotary enthusiast that is the price to pay. Superb suspension, unmatched cornering capabilities, nice engine sound, feels like a sports car, and it is a sports car.
Hope mazda brings the RX7 with a 3 ROTOR 20B engine. Come on Mazda, you will loose customers to other brands because you do not want to bring in the high powered rotary engine, the 3 rotor Mazda!!!
Overall, great car. Yes, it is kind of thirsty, but it is not bad, and bear in mind you are driving a cool sports car.
