Mitsubishi Lancer?
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer. I just had a regular oil change done and the guy that did it said that I need to get an engine flush done? My car does run a little slower off the brake than when I first bought it….could something else be done to improve the speed when I hit the gas?
Forget the engine flush, is a waste of money for this new of a car. You may need a tune up, which is just a change of spark plugs. Just be sure to get really good plugs. Change air filter and maybe fuel filter if have over 30,000 miles on car. Check your owners manual for maint. schedule.

Q:Is the cheapest mitsubishi lancer worth its money
A:
If you are just looking for a reliable econo box it is.
own a Lancer and so far(100,000 miles), not a major problem except regular maintenence and I consider it as reliable and worth my money. The Cheapest and the most expensive Lancers share the same engines(except the Lancer Ralliart.)
Yeah they’re good cars, except for the A/C belt squealing like a greased pig. Most mitsubishi cars have that issue though. Depending on the year, stick with a 5-speed, as the pre-1997 automatics are weak compared to the later ones.
Also, the 2002+ ES/LS/OZ Rally models all share the 4G94 2.0L engine. The Ralliart has the 4G64 2.4L Mivec, and all of the Evolution 1-9 models possesses the fire-breathing 4G63 Turbo.
Yep, they are under-rated. They are generally pretty reliable and because of the EVO, you might even find after market parts that fit a regular Lancer as well. The Ralliart’s 2.4L is very torquey and if you can, try to find one of those, you won’t regret it.
Another complement I see is how comfortable the Ralliart seats are. It is because the Ralliart seats came from the EVO7 and have great support.
