I got a white one and I don’t like the color and they $4,000 to repaint it which I didn’t want to spend since my payment is already $650 per month. The interior is very nice although the cd is not smooth. The sound system is very loud and is great on a long trip. I like the luggage room, but I had difficutly getting the spare tire out. I thought I had a flat, but actually I was just low on air.
Its difficult to operate the sun roof. The buttons are not located well and are hard to understand. I think a hand crank one would be better.
Fritz from Metairie, LA :Transmission experienced “Flare”, engine speeding during shifting and at other times. Replacement transmission also has same problem, as well as new ES 350 used as loaner during replacement; i.e., three up, three down. Don’t know if this can be fixed. Lexus has had this problem for awhile.

All the controls are exactly where you expect them to be and the interior finish is class leading. The service at the Lexus dealer in Fredrick CO is the fantastic. The performance and handling is spot on for daily driving or cross country road trips. The GS offers more features for thousands less than similarly equipped European competitors and the service is far superior.
Alwen from Corona, CA :I just got a GS350 a month ago. Everything is perfect expect the GPS system. No traffic report and the data is made in 2006. I live in a new area for one year already. All the online maps have our address since early 2007. I wonder why a good car can not follow up. Also there is no traffic report on the system. My friend have a 2007BMW and the system have live traffic info on the system. Next time if you go to get the new car, make sure that you check a new address to see it has or not. Need to pay for an upgrade if you did not check.

Al Hearn from Woodstock, GAThis is as near perfect a car as I’ve ever had. The V8 engine is incredible — outstanding power, acceleration, and speed while getting over 25 mpg on the highway and better than 18 in the city.

The Mark Levinson surround sound system is best demonstrated when watching a DVD movie (while car is parked). It’s like being in a movie theater.

Some say the trunk is small, but I haven’t found that to be the case. It holds all my wife’s stuff, and she has lots of stuff.

It’s a great road car with the most comfortable soft leather seats I’ve ever seen. Love the heat and ventilation. My back normally hurts on long trips in my other cars, but not in the GS460.

It’s quiet, little wind noise, little road noise, and the 8-speed transmission is as smooth as silk. I love the growl of the V8 engine. It is a real pleasure to drive.

I wish I could point out some negatives, but I can’t. Sorry.

BoRock from San Diego, CA:Love the car and all that it is. Fuel economy is 18 MPG for me which is mostly highway. I expected worse for V8 4.7L engine so I am happy to see that. Got 2008 in Nov of 2007 - afraid Lexus will change GX soon and I will not like it.
