I have had my Uplander since it was new in 05. As a sales rep in the automotive business around Western PA, I drive a lot. I have 91,300 miles on it now. I have been extremely satisfied with the fuel economy. I drive back and forth to Lexington, KY and Erie frequently. I get about 26 and 27.5 mpg, depending on the wind. In the city, around Pittsburgh, I get about 19 mpg. Overall mix I get about 21 MPG. Full Synthetic Valvoline Oi helps on MPG.
This van is pretty comfortable for a guy 6′3″ and 290 lbs, but it has rattled ever since the day I got it. Sounds to me like left front wheel area. No tech has ever been able to find it. 3 dealerships, 3 chain repair shops and 4 independent shops and no one knows what it is. Mind you, I did not take to all those shops just for that. I completely disregard the oil life system and change my oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. I don’t trust oil life systems, I have seen the results and it not good.
About 4 months after I got it the molding looked like it was coming off both sliding doors. Dealership would not warranty the repair saying I must have caught the molding on something to pull it loose. I never fixed it and it never actually came off.
Van has very good power, but is not really very good in snow. Traction control like what’s my grand prix would be fantastic.

The car acceleration is among the best in its class but comfort features and safety equipment is average for today’s standards.
Only 4 speed automatic! but price is fair.
